Right now, we are looking for a Service Validation Engineer to our Service validation team within our Continuous Delivery and Validation (CD&V), Network Service Delivery (NSD).
The purpose of Continuous delivery and Validation unit is to support DevOps by providing an efficient DevOps environment and by introducing best practices for performing and automating the Quality assurance activities in E2E network service validation.
Your next challenge?
As a Service Validation Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in Telecom network. You will plan, design, develop, test, debug, support and implement Network infrastructure and services provided by Telia Company to our customer, including the physical and virtualized network. You will analyze, troubleshoot, modify and support network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability. You must have good knowledge about Mobile Voice and Data services, B2B services and virtualized systems (Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenir) since these will be services we shall produce automated test cases to be used on the E2E service validation tests. You're an individual Contributor with University degree and approximately 5 years of relevant experience. You use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
As a Service Validation Engineer, you will also be part of a System Team that has team members in the Nordic countries. The system team has a product owner located in Sweden. You will report to a line manager that work as both the product owner and the supporting line manager for the System Teams. Currently we are on a change journey towards a new operation model where we work according to SAFe, ITIL and DevOps principles. You will be representing Telia Networks and take the end-to-end responsibility, cross functions, to make sure maximized value for the end customer.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- As part of an agile teamwork with items in the Jira backlog according to agile and DevOps principles
- Providing validation as a service; designing and executing manual and automatic tests
- Develop automatic test cases in Robot FW
- Do proof of concepts for new tools or services
- Keep DevOps environment test tooling up and running and be contact person for SW upgrades of them
- Maintain the lab environment in Norway (preferably), Sweden or Finland with support from operations team
- Monitor regression tests and act if they are failing
- Participate in PI planning sessions and other SAFe related meetings.

- You preferably have some Telecom background and have experience of creating and executing automatic test cases
- You have done developed and executed manual test cases
- You have some experience of DevOps and SW development
- You are familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery
- You are familiar with tools like traffic generators or other test tools.
