We are looking for General Manager, Product Marketing to lead the team and activities responsible for identifying market challenges and opportunities and drives the innovation process by capturing new offering ideas. You will manage the product commercialisation process and launch offerings within marine markets with the objective to generate customer driven offering development and targeted product marketing activities based on customer and market insights, demonstrate value of services offering, support sales & drive demand, and support growth objectives.

Your mission is to profitably grow the business through targeted market offering.

This position reports to Director, Product Management and Technical Information. The location for the position is preferably Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway or US. 

As a part of the new Marine Power Parts Services organization, you will be part of the journey of establishing and driving the development of the Business Unit striving towards Smart Marine Strategy. 

In the role, you will be responsible for

  • Leading a team and developing the way of working and processes within all three responsibility areas: need-based intelligence, market research, and business development 
  • Guiding the team in defining, creating and executing marketing strategies related to the offering portfolio under Product Management and Technical Information responsibility with a passion for agile learning and adjustment 
  • Defining product positioning strategies in close cooperation with Product Managers & Global Sales  
  • Co-creating compelling product value proposition and value claims to translate technical features to customer benefits  
  • Ensuring our marketing messaging is customer segment specific, clear and defendable, and demonstrating the value of our products to our customers and their business 
  • Defining market specific launch and campaign goals and choosing the marketing strategies needed to achieve them 
  • Building unified and identifiable stories and producing digital first content that touches the target audience across different channels throughout the customer buying cycle 
  • Plan, budget and manage the execution of product marketing activities and related communications. 
  • Setting launch and campaign targets and monitoring the success  
  • Participating in the Product Management and Technical Information management team and contribute to the continuous improvement of product management processes and way of working 
  • A coach and mentor focused on building high performance teams  

You will shine in this role with these skills and experience

  • University level degree in marketing or communications couples with solid business and customer understanding  
  • Broad business perspective and minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience in an international business environment 
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing marketing plans and projects 
  • A passion for market, industry, and customer understanding 
  • Excellent communication and networking skills  
  • Decisiveness and action orientation  
  • Creative minded and development oriented 
  • Capability and experience working within cross-functional teams and building high performing teams 
  • Advanced spoken and written skills in English
