We invite applications for the position of TWO

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS

The Santos lab makes the unique bridge between medical engineering, pharmaceutical nanotechnology and biomedical research by combining unique techniques, such as microneedle technology, microfluidic glass technology, in order to help to build innovative nanomedicines/nanovectors and multidrug loading. To design and test the functionality and efficacy of these nanomedicines, we use state-of-the-art nanotheranostic technologies for personalized medicine, which allow the precisely engineering of materials at nanoscale to develop novel therapeutic formulations, including industrial scale-up validation, batch-to-batch reproducibility, and controllability of the nanomaterials’ physicochemical properties for translation into the clinic.

We are seeking for two post-docs to work in two distinct projects: (1) supported by the Business Finland and (2) supported by the Academy of Finland. In (1) the applicant is expected to have extensive practical experience in fabrication and characterization of microneedles for drug delivery applications (at least 4 years experience in the field of microneedles) and in (2) the applicant is expect to have extensive practical experience in the synthesis and characterization of magnetic and fluorescent labeled nanoparticle systems some intracellular trafficking studies (at least previous 4 years in synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles). The ideal candidates are adaptable team-players with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent organizational skills and prepared to work in a multicultural and multi-collaborative environment.

More information about the lab, including the latest research and news, can be found here:
