I am Simo Tirri and I lead a team of great architects within Division X.  I am now looking for someone who can help us to drive the API & integration architecture. You will be part of a team that defines, drives and maintain the target architecture for Division X, but you will work in a cross-border, cross-discipline way in close relationship to our business. 

We are in an expanding phase, scaling our business and building for the future. This is an exciting time to build architecture that will support our expanding portfolio of services and products and help us become even more lean and efficient.

Are you excited about exposing capabilities through APIs, building API driven partner ecosystems, working with IoT and Data Insights? Are you able to balance between time to market and long term planning through architecture and help us become even more efficient while not losing stability. Key responsibilities:

• Drive the target architecture for API & integration domain
• Hands-on participation in implementation of target architecture, if needed
• Establish API strategy together with business architect
• API Solution architecture, design and estimation
• Work collaboratively across the multiple teams to recommend solutions and resolve technical issues
• Actively participant in technology evaluations, technical designs and reviews
• Stay apprised of new and emerging technologies and provide technical strategy, direction and offer creative solutions

Who are you?

Division X is fast paced, with lots of entrepreneur driven people who love creating and finding new businesses. You enjoy working with people with that mindset and you have a knack for translating their ideas into sustainable architecture.

Skills & competencies

Basic qualifications:

• Ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment
• Ability to work independently with geographically distributed teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management, influence and persuade others
• API design and development, REST, JSON
• Microservices framework (such as Spring Boot)
• Hands on experience in Microservices development and containerized workloads running on Kubernetes 

Preferred qualifications:

• Thrive on innovation and thinking outside the box
• Cloud-native architecture design
• Experience with commercial API management platforms (such as Apigee)
• Understanding of authentication and authorization schemes for API level security (Oauth, OpenID connect or JWT)
• Experience on working in multi-cloud environment (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience on service mesh
