WHAT WOULD YOU GET TO DO AS PIM DEVELOPER AT OP?

We at OP are actively taking digitalization in the banking sector to the next level. This way, we will be able to provide our customers, actually over four million of them, with top quality banking services also in the future. This would not be possible without top notch product information management, and this is where we need your help – we are now looking to grow the Product Information Team in our Information Management Tribe in Helsinki.

In this role, your main areas of responsibility would include developing OP Financial Group’s shared PIM system in close co-operation with other developers and specialists in our tribe. You will get to participate in requirement analysis as well as to design and develop new software solutions based on functional and technical requirements. To be more precise, your daily work might consist of writing new code, renewing our UI, or making changes in our database structures and API’s, just to give you a few examples. Being the superuser of OP’s PIM system (that covers all our business areas) would also be included in your role. As you can tell by now, this is a very versatile role that surely provides even a seasoned developer with new challenges. What adds to the positives is that the number of users is growing, and we are currently in the process of integrating the system with very essential OP products and functions – in short, you would get to work with one of our core systems.

We appreciate different kinds of software development backgrounds and having an agile DevOps mindset, so to say. Previous experience of working with MDM solutions is a great starting point for succeeding in this role, and your closest PIM Developer colleague will also be happy to mentor you in your new position. We use a solution provided by IBM in our master data management. WHAT WE EXPECT:

• Previous experience of developing master data management solutions
• Knowledge of IBM MDM CE or equivalent
• Good knowledge of the following tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, and SQL databases
• Excellent communication skills in English

WHAT WE SEE AS ADVANTAGES:

• Working proficiency in Finnish
• Knowledge of REST APIs and/or AWS environment
• Experience of data architecture and different areas of data management
