We are especially good when it comes to secure wireless connectivity and developing complete products and low-level software. Now we are looking for a system and network specialist to strengthen our R&D teams in Kajaani. In this position you would be the master and visionary of system and network specialist creating and implementing the foundation to build on and guiding others in network element development. In the beginning you would hold a critical role in one of our larger network infra projects, but in general your tasks would consist of a variety of intriguing projects in the range Bittium products and services portfolio.

For this role we are looking for a true specialist with such background and level of expertise, that we can rely to hold the technical authority when needed to guide the efforts of the system teams’ work. You would be needed to make well-founded decisions based on your experience on real-life product development challenges vs. the ideal theoretical outcome, steering the work efforts towards the essential parts instead of trivial.

Requirements for the position:

• System level understanding of RBS functionality
  
• Understanding of technologies (WCDMA, LTE, 5G)
  
• Understanding of SW architectures/techniques/tools
  
• Understanding of Embedded system technologies (RF, Baseband, SoCs)
  
• Understanding both node and network level functionalities and dependencies
  
• Ability to define and prioritize system level improvements and provide professional specifications
  
• Good communication skills in English
