Wärtsilä Energy Business is looking for skilled and enthusiastic (Senior) Superintendent Engineer. Depending on the candidates experience the title will be precised.
Your main responsibility is to plan, lead and manage the mechanical construction and commissioning works and team at site. We find it important that you are comfortable in front of varying audience and find natural communicating with different stakeholders, both internal and external.
The position location is Finland (Helsinki, Turku or Vaasa), but in this position you will work abroad for longer periods.

Responsibilities
- Plan and lead the mechanical works at site in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Plan and follow-up work progress of mechanical works at site e.g. time management, cost management, risk management and quality management
- Proactively manage the scope of works, material flow and secure needed resources
- Manage subcontractors
- Participate and manage commissioning and handing-over procedures
- Perform start-ups and testing of the installed equipment and document the end results
- Maintain good customer relations and team spirit at site
- Manage and maintain good reporting practices
- Co-ordinate construction works with civil and electrical sections
- Safeguard the compliance with HSSE policies and minimize the risks in own section
Requirements
- M.Sc. of B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Working experience in similar tasks preferred
- Working experience in Power Plants or Ships Engine room is an advantage
- Good leadership, communication, team building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt new technologies
- Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments
- Project Management knowledge is an advantage
- Good command of English, both oral and written
- Other languages are seen as an advantage
