As Junior Hardware Design Engineer in the Board Level Hardware Team (BLH) at u-blox you will be developing our main products of the Product Center Positioning: GNSS Modules, Support Products, such as Evaluation Kits, as well as other internal support and characterization boards. The team consists of 12 passionate engineers that work very closely together in a friendly, cooperative and international environment. The collaboration also extends to other teams within the Positioning Product Center and occasionally to other Product Centers (Short Range or Cellular).  Half of the team is based in Espoo (Finland) and the other half in Thalwil (Switzerland). You will occasionally travel between sites. The position can also be based in Thalwil, Switzerland.Your Responsibilities

• Hardware Design (from Schematics to Layout)
• Ensure and verify proper functionality and performance according to the Product Specification
• Write and contribute to technical documentation
• Provide input for and review data sheets, users guides and release notes
• Ensure the transfer of the design to the manufacturing house.

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Have a positive and proactive attitude combined with big willingness to learn
• Capacity to work independently and precisely, but also enjoying being a team player.
• Mixed Signal (RF/Digital) design knowledge on board level is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with analog, digital and RF measurement equipment (e.g. vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, scope, multimeter etc.)
• Basic CAD and simulation tools for PCB design, preferably Cadence environment.
• Good English skills (written and spoken)

• Knowledge in GNSS technology
• Mechanical CAD Tools experience is also an advantage, preferably SolidWorks
• Programming skills (Matlab, Python, C)
