At F-Secure Consumer Business Unit, we have launched a set of groundbreaking security apps to protect users' everyday digital life. These solutions cover multi-device security, family protection, privacy and identity protection and securing the entire connected home (Internet of Things). We’ve redefined what user experience means in many product categories and been awarded for our designs.

We are now looking for a Senior UX Designer, who has the passion to create world class user experience in our products, defining security experiences that allow people to have peace of mind in all their digital moments.

Key Responsibilities

As part of F-Secure Consumer Customer Experience team, you will be working in a creative environment with other enthusiastic product designers, many UX designers, one visual designer and copywriter. We all do discovery and research. As an in-house design team, we shape the consumer products together with Solution Management and R&D.

In this role you'll be the driving force for user experience design and execution for selected product(s). By bringing our design team and stakeholders together, you will be co-designing new ideas into concepts and prototypes, and present them to other stakeholders in the organization. By familiarizing yourself with usability research, you are the voice of the end user. You should also understand the business goals, and show how good usability brings value to the business. You are the keeper of the big picture, while still aligning and integrating the technical UX details in different products.

Occasionally you will also still craft the details; wireframes, specifications and even more visual mockups. You can make sense of the business goals, challenges and users' behavior, and turn your understanding into great designs that benefit both. You ensure usability and technical feasibility with the ideas you make - but are ready to break the boundaries if that is what is needed to create the best products.

You will be a good fit for the position, if you...

• Have around 5+ years of working experience in digital products and services
• Can easily grasp complex technical concepts, and use common sense in simplifying them
• Are familiar with usability principles and know how to justify your design choices relying on usability research. Preferably also have skills to turn research into insights that could find new innovative opportunities.
• Understand the differences between platform conventions (iOS/Android/desktops/web)
• Can work with different levels of abstraction
• Can build and nurture relationships with the design team and stakeholders like sales, marketing, product management and R&D, and give presentations.
• Drive big picture thinking, but still strive for quality of the details
• Know how to concentrate on what is essential at a given moment in the process, and guide others to do the same with leading by your example. If needed you can guide, review and inspire other designers’ work.
• Know Figma and can work with design system components
