Today, we are looking for a Software Engineer with an interest in financial, accounting and payment systems. In this position you will work as a member of an agile development team building our product. The position can be filled in Helsinki or Berlin.

Key Responsibilities

• Software engineering and related maintenance through the software lifecycle.
• Work on migrating our legacy application from AngularJS to Vue.
• Contribute to building our UI component library.
• You will also have the opportunity to work on some backend tasks in Django/Python.

• Overall professional developer experience of minimum 3 years.
• Professional experience building web applications in one of the popular frontend frameworks (preferably Vue and AngularJS).
• Interest and willingness to learn and work on legacy code in AngularJS 1.xx.
• Good knowledge and experience working with frontend technologies - HTML/Javascript/CSS, build tools such as Webpack, testing frameworks like Mocha/Chai.
• Good knowledge or experience working with backend technologies - Django/Python and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Good knowledge of using Git in large projects.
• Strong English language skills (our working language).

Nice To Have Experience

• Working as a team member in a multicultural agile team.
• Working with designers.
• Working with multiple frameworks, experience in Typescript and migrating legacy code is valued.
• Good knowledge of unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of financial/accounting/payment platforms, or other relevant domain expertise, is considered a strong plus.

Our targeted recruitment process:

1. Fist meeting / phone interview: You have the chance to know a nit more about Holvi, and we’ll discuss your motivations for this role.
2. Programming exercise: You will get an exercise to demonstrate your skills on a topic that gives you example on what kind of things we work on and what we require. This can be done any time suitable to you.
3. Technical interview with lead / senior designers: At this stage we review the exercise together, and have a general technical discussion. Well go a bit deeper to technologies we use and challenges we are working on.
4. Meeting with the team: Get to know some of your future colleagues.
