Job Description

Our Research & Development teams are the best in the world at creating virtual and mixed reality products. The role of the Quality Operations team is to ensure our customers receive our products with high quality and they perform as designed over the products lifetime.

We are now looking for a Software Support Engineer who will help our customers globally to solve most demanding issues they face with our products. You will have a key role in working between our customer support and R&D teams to solve real customer problems, and at the same time helping us build better products for the future.

To be successful in this role, you have a background in SW development and are a problem solver by nature.

This is a full-time position located in Helsinki, Finland. Commuting from other cities in Finland is a possibility we can discuss and support. We are also open to discuss fully remote working. If you're based somewhere else at the moment, we will also gladly help with relocating to Finland and make your move to the capital of the world's happiest and cleanest country as easy as possible.

Key responsibilities

  • Debugging customers issues and handling those in our ticketing system.
  • Interface between customer and R&D to solve issues by working together with appropriate sources in R&D and customer support teams.
  • Reproduction of the issues within our environment and providing solutions for customer.
  • Provide on-site support for the most demanding issues in the form of troubleshooting and service when required.
  • Participate and contribute to other processes (e.g. product development) to initiate product improvements/corrective actions as necessary to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in future.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a fields of SW development, SW testing or SW technical support.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows based software and/or PC hardware. Previous experience with VR and/or XR products and services a big benefit.
  • Willingness to travel: estimated few trips per year depending on the support need in the field.
  • Good communication and negotiations skills and the ability to interface with customers in a positive, professional manner in English fluently, additional languages are plus.
  • Ability to have technical communication efficiently with R&D teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot product and SW problems analytically and systematically with a firm commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
