We’re looking for you, a Purchasing Specialist, to work in our Raw material Procurement team in Nokian Tyres. 

We are seeking motivated professional to join the Raw Material procurement team responsible for operational procurement of raw materials. The position will be based in our head office Nokia, Finland. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing raw material purchases from global suppliers to ensure sufficient raw material supply and efficient inventory rotation. 

You will need to be able to work independently and be proactively involved in developing your role. You will also need to have a comprehensive approach to work and excellent business integrity.  

Key responsibilities: 

• Purchase order and delivery schedule planning and placement 
• Material flow and inventory level control 
• Delivery control, order confirmation and invoice handling 
• Daily communication with global suppliers and internal stakeholders 
• Contribution to development of operational procurement processes and category team work 
• Minor claim handling 

Qualifications: 

• At least 3 years operational procurement experience in global environment 
• M.Sc. or B. Sc. degree in relevant field, i.e. procurement or logistics 
• Knowledge of procurement techniques, processes and procedures 
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of a category team towards set objectives 
• Result oriented way of working and good stress tolerance 
• Professional skills in Microsoft Office tools and motivation and ability to learn new systems 
• Excellent written and spoken English and Finnish
