Job Description

Intel Finland provides cloud software solutions for various Intel platforms including CPUs, GPUs and other accelerators for data centers. A key target is the recently launched [1] Intel Server GPUs based on Intel Xe GPU architecture. We will ensure that cloud-native applications can be developed for Intel GPUs, running efficiently on target hardware and scaling well. The key technology to enable this is the open source Kubernetes container orchestration system where Intel is amongst the top ten contributing companies.

The key responsibilities are:

• Designing and implementing Cloud Native applications and Kubernetes infrastructure for Intel accelerator devices like Discrete GPUs for Data Centers.

• Participating into requirements definition, software architecture design, validation planning and analysis of issues. Collaborate with the peer architects and developers to achieve agreed solutions across the teams.

• Driving the technologies and solutions to various upstream communities and projects for adoption across the industry.

• Planning, designing, developing, testing, and modifying software systems or applications for enhancements and new products that are specifically focused on cloud service development.

• Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

In order to be successful in the role the candidate need to be self-guided, willing to learn new and ready to drive forward concepts and deliverables. We expect you to work with both Intel stakeholders but also externally on the open source communities. The candidate needs to have strong background on cloud native applications, microservice architectures and Kubernetes orchestration. Qualifications

• Minimal Requirement:

• Strong knowledge on Cloud Native application development, microservice architectures, containers and Kubernetes orchestration

• SW development toolchain for C/C++ programming and Go programming language

• Linux operating system, kernel, device drivers

• Understanding on open source software development principles and interaction with communities

• Fluent in English

• 6 years of relevant working experience.

• Preferred Requirement:

• Knowledge on one or more of following domains: AI frameworks (Kubeflow, Tensorflow, Pytorch), media processing, 3D graphics and drivers, GPU architecture.

• Experience on cloud administration

• Skills on technical documentation

• Skills on defect analysis

• Contributions to open source communities

• Education of MSc or equivalent in SW Engineering.
