We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our global Finance team in Helsinki. This is an exciting time to join us, as we are strengthening our finance team where you would be a key player in shaping our customer facing communication and reporting processes.

As a Finance Specialist at Smartly.io, you will be joining an international team to help customers around the world with their finance related questions. Your main responsibilities would be communicating with customers and Customer Success Managers around accounts receivable and payment status. You will also provide accurate data and financial reporting to stakeholders and have a chance to take end-to-end ownership of the accounts receivable related financial processes and data.

As a Finance Specialist at Smartly.io, you will:

    • Act as a contact point between Smartly.io teams and global customers for invoice and payment status
    • Proactively work with customers to collect payments and solve client issues
    • Be in charge of daily accounts receivable tasks such as generating customer statements, and payment reconciliations
    • Be in charge of multiple geographic regions for cash collection reporting and analysis
    • Take part in our monthly financial closing related to revenue and accounts receivable
    • Help us shape our Group finance processes going forward
    • Other daily finance tasks and routines

We're definitely looking for you if you:

    • Have relevant work experience in finance  - we do not necessarily expect you to be fully fluent in all the tasks we expect you to eventually take responsibility for, but are also open towards applicants who are willing and able to learn the needed skills
    • Have solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
    • Are detail and result oriented, comfortable working in collaborative setting, and have an eye for continuously automating and improving processes
    • Are fluent in using MS Office (Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets)
    • Are comfortable using English in a work context
    • Experience in using Netsuite is considered an advantage
    • Experience in using Salesforce is considered an advantage
    • Experience working in customer service is considered an advantage
    • Have the legal right to work in Finland
