A modern data landscape exists to serve analytics, machine learning and AI workloads - seamlessly. It uses cloud approaches to storing, transforming and serving data for these innovative use cases. Reducing costs and risks by taking a repeatable, self-service approach to operating and managing these data.

The Data Foundation is our approach to successfully delivering these solutions for customers. In addition to the data architecture, engineering and data science or analytics perspectives, the members of the practice also care for governance, security and operations of the estate, as these are essential to long term success for customers.

Due to our growth in the Data Estate Modernization program we are looking to create Data Engineering & Analytics as its own practice. As a consequence we are looking for Data Practice Lead to ensure continuing success of the team and products.


The Data Engineering & Analytics Practice Lead will have an opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the strategic development of the organization in this key area
  • Determine the direction of the data offerings & products
  • Collaborate directly with Microsoft and our other hyperscaler partners
  • Grow the team through internal and external recruitment
  • Lead the team in their career journey
  • Develop internal and external thought leadership in the area of big data

As a whole, the Data Engineering & Analytics Practice team is responsible for:

  • Delivery of Data Engineering and/or Analytics projects for customers
    • Storage and Data Architectures
    • Governance, Compliance, Data security
    • Operations, Platform Security
    • Discovery, Self Service, Analytics
  • Development of the global Nordcloud Data Practice and our Data Foundation concept
    • Listen to customers for their use-cases and needs
    • Incorporate new developments by cloud hyperscalers
    • Keep the vision up to date with market trends
  • Collaboration and delivery of solutions to Managed Cloud
  • Contribution of designs, programs and estimates to customer bids
  • Facilitating sharing of experiences and expertise with the Nordcloud community


We expect you to have:

  • Ability to communicate fluently with customers, partners and internal stakeholders (both business and tech)
  • Experience in most of the related areas: cloud, data architectures, data lakes & data warehousing, integrations, data engineering and advanced analytics / data science
  • Experience in working in an enterprise context
  • Understanding and ability to help customers on how to organize around their data platforms and assets: governance, data as a service, data domains (producer vs consumer), etc.
  • Understanding of compliance, privacy and regulation related to data
  • Multiple years of experience in applying technology to solve customer problems in the domain
