Your role

As a (Senior) Developer, you will be working in a team developing and maintaining F-Secure Detection and Response backend systems that provide industry leading capabilities to detect and respond to advanced cyber attacks. You are an expert in designing and implementing serverless data processing applications and APIs that are easy to operate and maintain.

The seniority of the role will be ultimately tailored based on your skills and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, developing, maintaining and operating backend systems together with a team of highly skilled developers and cloud engineers
• Working on the business logic as well as making the systems easy to operate
• Deploying your code to production and enjoying the ride while doing it

What are we looking for

• Good communication, team work skills and positive attitude
• Keen interest in understanding the detection and response services and the value they provide
• Solid experience in public cloud technologies and infrastructure, implementing highly-available, distributed backend systems and continuous deployment practises
• Security mindset
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Few years of development experience with Typescript / Node.js / Python
• Hands-on working experience using AWS or other public cloud services and deployment automation (e.g. AWS EC2, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, StepFunctions, API Gateway, AppSync, IAM, networking concepts, Cloud Development Kit, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Code Pipeline, Code Build, S3, Kinesis, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Neptune, RDS, Glue, Athena)
• Experience and knowledge of some of the following: Docker, NOSQL & SQL databases, REST/GraphQL APIs

About the team

Detection and Response backends is a high performing team working on world class systems. We have people from multiple cultures and backgrounds, spread across multiple sites and use remote-first approach when collaborating within the team. However, this is not a remote-only position.

We work in close co-operation with other teams at F-Secure such as Threath Hunters who provide the Managed Detection and Response service to our clients and with teams who are specialised in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to name a few.
