About the Position
         
As an Engineer for the GNSS high precision software development team at u-blox you are responsible for the heart of u-blox’s cutting edge navigation devices. With your experience and profound knowledge in the domain of GNSS navigation you are the specialist for high precision positioning techniques. Your technical expertise is key to new and creative solutions which are a driver for next generation u-blox receivers and innovations.
We are a team of 9 engineers who are enthusiastic about GNSS position estimation. We take all efforts to research and innovate for the most efficient solutions and features to match the true navigation parameters as close as possible. We are dedicated to support our product teams and application engineers by digging into and solving issues on the customer side. When it comes to high precision GNSS, there’s nothing we can’t fix!
We are looking for someone who is passionate about software development and fascinated by the variety of GNSS applications. Together with your drive and ambition for a product oriented working approach you would be the perfect candidate for our team. Your Responsibilities

  • Realization of feasibility studies, drafting of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for new features of the GNSS receiver firmware
  • Design, implementation and testing of new features
  • Contribution to or technical lead of new feature implementations
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Quality control and error analysis
  • Providing workarounds or fixes for bugs and nonconformities

Your Skills and Experience

  • PhD or MS in geodesy, applied mathematics, electrical engineering or similar
  • Solid knowledge and experience in GNSS technology, Kalman filter and related technology
  • Knowledge of high precision positioning techniques or expert in one of its focus areas (e.g. ambiguity resolution, ionosphere estimation)
  • Profound scientific and engineering skills, hands-on and problem solving
  • Experience with mathematical and physical models
  • Solid C/C++ skills
  • Good communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Flexible team player
