Solution Expert - Regulatory systems

We are looking for the next expert in IT systems support in Orion's regulated environment, an enthusiastic and results oriented professional to join us. Your focus will be in regulatory area systems and services, you shine on supporting the users in your service area and you excel in solving problems and continuously improving our solutions. Regulatory systems are used to manage information and communication towards different regulatories, e.g. information regarding marketing authorization, variations or adverse events for certain product, etc. Some of the systems in the area are SaaS based systems and some more traditional IT systems. Currently Orion is building completely new IT landscape in regulatory area and main responsibilities in this role will start as being part of the project renewing and implementing the systems. You innovate new solutions and ways of working together with Orion's business functions. Finding new solutions to fit business needs is natural to you and you understand the possibilities to utilize new technologies. The location will be in Espoo or Turku.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Technical understanding and know-how of the IT systems and solutions in your area
• Service management of your system(s)
• Business process understanding in the scope of regulatory systems
• Participate in larger projects as well as smaller enhancement work
• Participate in life cycle management of relevant solutions and services
• Utilize external resources and networks efficiently
• Develop yourself and your work continuously

Requirements:

• Understanding in IT service magement, you can either be already a strong professional or want to become one
• Understanding of what brings value to the business
• Efficient prioritization skills and the ability to utilize external resources
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Fluent language skills in Finnish and English

You have experience with IT service management, application management or information integration. You can easily discuss with different roles in Orion business units and consult the experts and translate their needs to IT solutions. You need to communicate fluently in Finnish and English. We appreciate a suitable university degree from a relevant field and experience from Life Science industry.

Taking ownership of and completing tasks at hand is natural for you. Being successful in the role requires understanding of what brings value to the business, curiosity, excellent collaboration and communication skills, positive "can do" attitude as well as taking responsibility. You are motivated by seeing the results of your work in effective use.You exemplify problem solving skills, continuous improvement attitude and are familiar with Lean philosophy and methodologies.

Description of the unit

Orion Information Management (IM) employs 80 people, of which approximately two thirds are located in Espoo. Other locations are Turku, Kuopio, Hanko, Mumbai and Nottingham. We support Orion's business in achieving its strategic targets not only by ensuring the availability of IT services but also by constantly looking for new innovations to match the current and future business needs.
