Job description

As a Senior Full-Stack Automation Engineer, you would work as a part of Picosun’s PicoOS automation platform development team. The team is responsible for developing and delivering automation and software to Picosun’s newest ALD solutions.

Depending on your expertise and interests, your work would consist of Beckhoff TwinCAT3 PLC and HMI. This role is more focused on PLC and automation development, but ideally you would be capable of configuring HMI based ALD machine configuration.

Working takes place mainly in Picosun’s headquarters in Kirkkonummi. We support remote working, but quite often it is more efficient to work next to ALD machine. Deployments and upgrades happen in customer premises, so you need be ready to travel occasionally when Covid-19 situation eases. Our customers locate mainly in Asia, Europe and North America.

Your role will be formed based on your interests, skills, experience, business needs and life situation.

Requirements for Senior Full-Stack Automation Engineer

We hope that you have an applicable degree in engineering or science (bachelor, master or doctor) and some experience with industrial automation projects or developing software for mission critical industrial applications.

Ideally you would have strong know-how in Beckhoff TwinCAT3 programming and modern industrial communication technologies (OPC UA, SECS/GEM, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP). We organize our work by using Scrum and JIRA, and source code repositories are in git.

Experience and understanding software and system architecture designing, object-oriented programming and practical know-how in SQL databases would be beneficial in this role.

And naturally as a automation engineer, you are capable of at least reading and understanding piping and instrumentation charts and electrical schematics. Configuring and troubleshooting I/O is also familiar to you.

We use English in our daily communication, so Finnish skill is not mandatory. Other language skills are naturally seen as big asset as you would also work in customer interface.
