We are looking for a Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions Business Line in Tampere or Vaasa. Your responsibilities

Building various software components for our embedded Linux platform. Work between kernel and communication protocols depending on your competence and expertise. Co-operating with other designers / team members in case of new development activities and maintenance Globally co-operating with other functions starting from product requirement specification to final product

Your background

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field Few years’ experience from embedded Linux software development with knowledge on standard Linux GNU development tools, Linux system architecture and software stacks. Solid C/C++ programming knowledge. Understanding of network security and TCP/IP communication protocols. Good spoken and written English communication skills. Team player with capability for independent work as well. .NET competence is beneficial Knowledge of IEC 61850-8-1 and IEC 61850-9-2 standards is an advantage Test automation knowledge is beneficial
