My name is Sami Sirkiä and I am leading the Systems & Platforms team of experts. My team has some of the most talented professionals of different expertise areas. Our main focus is to plan, develop and maintain system lifecycles on our responsibility areas. Together we are looking for IT Service Automation Engineer to join our team. Your primary location will be in our office at Tripla (Helsinki). Optionally negotiable locations can be our other Telia Inmics-Nebula offices in Finland.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE?

In the IT Service Automation Engineer role, you will be responsible for Telia Inmics-Nebula’s Internal IT Service Automation, RPA, and Orchestration platforms lifecycle management and configurations. The position is new and You have a great opportunity to develop new ideas and practicalities in the IT Service Automation area. You will be working together with our Internal Process Owners, Product Owners, Service Managers, Software Developers, and System Specialists to support our IT Service Automation related projects. Your daily routines might contain process automation development tasks and configuration with the process or business stakeholders, planning sessions with System Engineers and Software Developers, consulting internal projects in your expertise area, or just developing new automation solutions as per business requirements together with your colleagues.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are a seasoned professional in IT systems automation and have experience in some of the following areas like IT Services automated provisioning, Runbook Automation, Orchestration, RPA, and Configurations. You also might have experience with tools like Robot Framework, Power Automate, Jenkins, Ansible, etc. You have hands-on knowledge and understanding about some de-facto orchestration or service automation tools and practices. You might have expertise in Microsoft based tools as well as hands-on working experience with open source tools. Ideally, you also have a hands-on working proficiency with scripting and software languages like Python, Java, C#, or similar. You also might have experience with SQL basics and API technologies like REST.

Our Ideal Candidate Has 

  • Degree in Computing Science (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) or equivalent area
  • Wide general understanding about commonly used technologies in IT Systems
  • Solid understanding of orchestration and service provisioning automation concepts
  • Hands-on expertise at least a few of the following: Python, Java, Scripting, APIs, SQL, Basic understanding of web browser-based application UI technologies
  • Curiosity to learn new technologies and IT systems

We Value Experience in The Following Topics 

  • Software Test Automation building expertise and possible history working as software testing automation engineer role (e.g. Robot Framework)
  • Previous experience working with RPA related tools, especially MS Power Automate
  • Sysadmin role experiences Linux, Windows, Databases, etc.
  • Knowledge about C#, .net, or similar is plus
  • Working with REST-APIs or similar
  • ITIL based processes knowledge
  • Microsoft and other Vendor certificates are pluses
