We are now looking for a

PROJECT COORDINATOR, 5G/IoT RESEARCH PLATFORM

to join the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE), AIF Team at the University of Oulu. Allied ICT Finland is the largest research to business ICT network in the Nordics.

Smart Campus program targets to increase the impact of research infrastructures. The program includes both the University of Oulu campus and national level cooperation for campuses infrastructure development. Smart Campus is a strategic theme supported by the 6G Flagship Program and AIF network.

Your role as a coordinator is to advance the usage and impact of 5G/IoT infrastructures and platforms both in research projects and in-service development of enterprises and public organizations. You will focus specifically on the development of technical characteristics and roadmap, establishment of cooperation networks and project preparation related to 5G/IoT research infrastructures. The main targets are to ensure the competitiveness and active development of RDI platforms to fulfill future requirements.

 

What we expect:

1) Background, understanding and track-record of 5G, IoT and relevant platforms, including experience within service interfaces. Further good understanding of technical documentation.

2) Experience in partnership cooperation in demanding wireless, data and cloud platform environments.

3) In-depth knowledge and/or quick learner of following technical areas:

a. 5G network platforms

b. IoT systems

c. Data and cloud environments including edge environment

4) Excellent communication, social media and presentation skills.

5) Solid track-record on working within platform on either technical documentation, road mapping, project preparation/management or services development.

6) Higher academic degree in a suitable area.

 

Detailed information about tasks

Research platforms

- Technical descriptions of 5G/6G/IoT research infrastructures

- Utilisation of research infrastructures in cooperation with research units

- Service definition and offering of 5G/6G/IoT platform

- Roadmap planning and project initiation of research platforms and services

 

Cooperation networks

- Coordination of internal cooperation networks related to research infrastructure services

- Coordination of external cooperation networks related to research infrastructure services

- Resolving, roadmapping and project initiation based on needs of cooperation partners

- Smart Campus - Smart City cooperation with city of Oulu and other key cities

 

Research projects

-Project initiation based on research infrastructure to advance RDI activities
