What You’ll Do

For the role of Principle Sales Consultant for UK & Europe, we are searching for a motivated and passionate individual, who can lead client engagements in transaction banking, core banking, payments, trade finance, supply chain finance, credit & lending and take Europe Banking towards excellence. With your drive and a go-getter attitude, you will play a key role in driving the sales of Oracle banking applications.

You will be responsible for supporting the FSGBU Banking sales Managers in Europe by supporting them from a functional, solution & commercial perspective in the Banking & Financial Services deals/opportunities and enable selling Oracle’s market-leading Banking Solutions focused on Retail, Corporate, Transaction, Institutional and Universal Banking including Oracle FLEXCUBE, Oracle Banking and Oracle Digital Experience Products.

Your key objectives are\: 

    • Understand client business needs and requirements & proposing a solution for prospective customers by working closely with the FSGBU solution experts, Sales & Consulting teams.
    • Utilize your domain expertise and the deep understanding of FSGBU Banking solutions to lead client engagements and demonstrate value to win business
    • Conduct fit-gap analysis with banks to assess fitment between their requirements and FSGBU Banking solutions.
    • Conduct client demonstrations that are tailored to meet specific client requirements and business needs
    • Respond to RFP/RFI (Request for proposal/information) for Retail, Corporate, Universal Banking systems
    • Prepare Requirement and Functional specifications. Influence product development based on prospect interactions, market trends, local country requirements
    • Communicate product information, changes and direction to sales managers.
    • Understand current business/industry environment (financial services and banking) including relevant regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs.
    • Take a lead & help FSGBU to drive business/increase revenue in the UK & Europe to help the FSGBU sales in Business development to increase the pipeline.

There are four main aspects of the role\: 

Deep Domain Expertise – Industry-leading expertise in two or more domains in core banking, credit & lending, payment processing, transaction banking (corporate liquidity, virtual accounts, cash forecasting and recon), factoring & SCF, trade finance and treasury. Ability to effectively communicate the business value of oracle applications in these domains to banks and the broader industry, leveraging user stories, demos and any effective tool.

Deal excellence – Deliver top class client RFx, demos, POCs. Overprepare and do multiple dry runs. Sweat in the practice… 

Business Development – Help develop build the pipeline by effectively enabling sales and partners in the value of offerings which they can take to market. Participate via social media, industry events to raise awareness of Oracle offerings and be seen as an expert. 

Business improvement initiatives - You will also be expected to lead or participate in projects and initiatives across Solution Consulting to help solve problems and improve as a business. Contribution to the presales projects to industrialize the presales activities, automate processes and raise the bar to excellence in all demo assets and RFx repositories. 

Required Skills/Experience

What You’ll Bring

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in Banking e.g. product manager, business architect, operations head and/or IT solution support e.g. pre-sales, solution architecture, delivery or professional services experience
  • Functional domain experience and expertise in one or more of the following product/vendors
    • Global Corporate & Transaction Banking experience with Banking applications such as Loan IQ, Trade Innovation, Summit, ACBS/Sungard (FIS), FLEXCUBE (Oracle), Finacle (Infosys), Globus/T24/IBIS (Temenos),  Intellect GTB Suite
    • Payment processing experience with applications like GPP (Fundtech/Finastra), Clear2Pay (FIS), Dovetail, ACI
    • Corporate Cash & Liquidity Management with vendors like Intellect Arena, Tieto, Cashfac, Montran
    • Retail Banking with applications like FLEXCUBE (Oracle), Finacle (Infosys), Globus/T24/IBIS (Temenos), Sopra Banking
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Experience leading regional/industry/architecture teams, appropriate knowledge of methodologies and technology
  • Proficiency in Oracle solutions, competitors, technology, and business models preferred
  • Fluent English, fluency in other European languages such as Spanish / Italian will be preferred as well.
  • Must be willing to travel (>50% of work hours).
