Software Services - Digital Operation team is looking for a fixed-termJunior Software Developer to join us as a summer trainee.

We're an agile team doing software development with modern tools and stack.Our team is developing software for network automation using DevOps practices and modern tools. Our service automates core network installation, configuration and implementation. It also automates provisioning of new services and network operations. But fear not, we don’t need more network specialists for now and it’s just a nice bonus if you know something or are interested in learning about networking.

We are devoted to our product and our team really owns it - so we can think and decide of solutions with short- and long-term impact. This means that we keep the quality up, our code smells nice and we keep technical debt very low by doing i.e. refactoring constantly. We work in agile way with Kanban and we are always looking for ways to learn and improve.

We hope that you have experience in some JVM based language and the more you know of the other technologies the better. But most important is that you have strong enthusiasm to learn new things by working as part of the team.

Things we are looking for

• Experience in some JVM based language, preferably Kotlin
• Some JavaScript or TypeScript and React knowledge
• Ability to understand Finnish is a plus

You will learn

• Understanding Docker & Kubernetes
• Understanding event architecture and messaging (i.e. Apache Kafka)
• Software-defined networking (SDN), networking, network automation
