Marine Power, Parts Services is looking for a Senior Documentation Engineer or Documentation Engineer to the Service Bulletin team in Technical Information in Vaasa, Finland.

You will work together with technical experts where you are able to grow in competences and gain knowledge of 4 stroke engine services and solutions included in both Energy- and Marine installations.

The Service Bulletin team participates in the process to create, maintain, and publish Service Bulletins to inform both customers and Wärtsilä employees about e.g., new technical solutions, new or revised instructions, spare parts and services for existing engines, equipment, and systems.

We offer you interesting tasks in a multicultural environment where you will pursuit continuous improvement with the combination of your existing expertise and passion for developing yourself and ways of working.

In this position, you will be mainly responsible for:

  • Creating the content of the bulletins in cooperation with the technical experts and produce clear instructions for the reader, in English.
  • Create illustrations for the bulletins according to need.
  • Do necessary research to gather required information for creating the bulletins and for creating the bulletin specific product lists.
  • Finalize and publish the bulletins to installations concerned.

We hope you have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in the field of technology or other relevant.
  • Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
  • Motivation and genuine interest to work with technical documentation.
  • A proactive, systematic, and organized way of working.
  • Good skills in communication and self-management.
  • Interest to learn, adapt and develop to new technologies.
  • Previous experience of technical writing.
  • Flexibility and ability to work both in teams as well as independently.
