Security Lead – Positioning Products and Platforms
As the Security Lead, you will help us to develop highly secure positioning products and make sure that our chips, modules and SW products are meeting our customers’ expectations being the best-in-class what comes to the security features. You will be in active co-operation with our embedded SW and HW R&D teams across the Europe, have the responsibility to oversee that our R&D addresses the security features with diligence, and you ensure that the deliverables meet the expected functionality and performance requirements. Your involvement with the products starts already from the drawing board and ends when the product line has reached the end of the cycle.   In this role, you will be working also with the other u-blox Product Centers and the Corporate Security Team for holistic e2e-security solutions and strategies. You will report to the Head of the Platform Development.   • Lead the product security related activities within the Positioning product center
  • Interface to internal teams, as well as to other stakeholders, e.g. other product centers and the Corporate Security team
  • Responsible for the security strategy of the Positioning product center (aligned with the other PCs and corporate)
  • Drive the security related design of our products (chips, modules), including SW and HW architecture and security requirements.
  • Semiconductor platform security, e.g. secure boot, secure firmware update (FOTA), secure physical interfaces and APIs, secure transport layer
  • Oversee the activities in the area of GNSS signal security (Robustness, Spoofing/Jamming detection and effective countermeasures)
  • Coordinate 3rd party penetration tests & security reviews on Positioning products
  • Drive the security awareness within the Product Center and provide internal trainings
  • Support the Positioning Product Strategy team concerning the Product and Service Security Roadmap (gather general security trends/needs in the POS market) and deployment of the products
  • Contribute to the security processes development and their continuous improvement

Your Skills and Experience

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, robotics, or equivalent education
  • 5 years of working experience in security related positions with embedded systems and solutions
  • Sound knowledge of security designs on microprocessor platforms
  • Experience with GNSS technologies
  • Knowledge about RF spoofing and jamming and efficient countermeasures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

Bonus Point (if applicable, not mandatory)

  • Specific security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ...)
  • Knowledge in key security concepts, including Symmetric/Asymmetric cryptography, Authentication/Authorization mechanisms
  • current safety standards in automotive, e.g ISO26262
