Oracle's Global Licensing and Advisory Services (GLAS) is a customer facing licensing and investment support organization that provides customers and partners with the most up-to-date knowledge, best practices and insights to manage and optimize Oracle license investment.

GLAS employs industry-leading practices and tools coupled with the most up-to-date Oracle license knowledge to minimize Oracle licensing risk and provide the ability to gain control of the Oracle license landscape.

We are seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to promote and deliver GLAS services specifically to Partners, and to contribute to the development and growth of the GLAS  Partner business.

Our GLAS Consultants have the unique opportunity to work across many Oracle functions and lines of business. Consultants regularly communicate with external stakeholders, from C-level executives to DBAs, and act as the only Oracle authority on license compliance.

Role

Coordinates the local execution of Partner Due Diligence Programs in alignment with the direction of the GLAS Partner strategies.

Scope

  • Works with Oracle Partners, Sales Management, Legal, Contracts, Revenue Recognition, Approval teams and other GLAS teams to lead a comprehensive compliance focused engagement from qualification to resolution
  • Reports to functional manager

Responsibilities

  • Manages Partner Due Diligence strategy and acts as first level of escalation for GLAS partner team issues
  • Defines and monitors Due Diligence Business Plan for specific territory
  • Responsible for Engagement Qualification and  outcomes through GLAS systems
  • Identifies and qualifies compliance risk for assigned territory where compliance needs to be assessed and ensured
  • Ensures Due Diligence engagements are delivered successfully with a high level of quality and partner satisfaction
  • Builds relationship with internal stakeholders and LOB leaders to increase GLAS Partner team visibility and facilitate engagement progress
  • Performs Partner audits, including a review of the Partner’s business and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Develops expertise in contractual agreements, licensing policies, measurement analysis, compliance and SAM practices in order to address the complexity of partner distribution & hosting business
  • Supports training and education related to Partner Business Practices and GLAS services internally and externally
  • Contributes to cross-team projects aimed at increasing the sharing of best practices and the efficiency of GLAS processes

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience in Account management, IT/asset management consulting, or customer support
  • BA/BS degree in MIS, Business Administration, Finance, Legal or Accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in Oracle Licensing field, preferably in a consulting or pre-sales role
  • Typically 10 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in the technology industry
  • Experience in licensing or software asset management

Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of software licensing, compliance and understanding of contract language, Oracle Technologies etc
  • Ability to develop strong, constructive relationships with multiple strategic stakeholders in international work environment
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment, balancing challenging workloads and deadlines with attention to deliverables
  • A hard-working ethos who is disciplined and reliable in executing company processes and strategies
  • Strong communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical/ business & internal/ external contacts
  • Ability to influence C level stakeholders in order to gain credibility quickly, inspire trust and confidence
  • Fluent in English and Spanish and German languages preferred - additional languages are an asset
  • Percentage of travel may be required
