Within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, and Sales Area Northern Europe, we’re responsible for sales and service activities in 21 countries in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. Our business is spread between the mining and construction industries, and our customer base represents a wide variety of applications. We’re now looking for a Business Line Manager to take responsibility for sales within the Surface Drilling division. Your mission

In this position, you’re responsible for setting strategies and driving profitable sales for our Surface Drilling offering. The mission includes responsibility for profit and loss, and you own your numbers and proactively drive improvement actions with key stakeholders to achieve targets aligned by the division. The entire sales process is included in your scope - from planning and implementation to following up and managing performance – and you make sure we have the right competence, processes and tools for a successful business. You drive robust sales and identify opportunities by strengthening our relationships with both existing and new customers. You also analyze the market to understand customer needs, competitors, our current position and what actions we need to take to increase our market shares even further.

Naturally, you create strong internal and external collaborations, and you manage our territory sales functions where you actively work to ensure a successful team by coaching, developing, evaluating and directing team members to accomplish defined objectives. You report directly to the Vice President of Sales Area Northern Europe and you’re a key player in our management team. The location for this position is flexible within the sales area, and travel is a central part of your job.

Your character

We’re looking for someone with at least five years’ experience from sales and marketing and a background which includes key account management and customer value chain competence, preferably connected to the mining and construction industry. You also have supervisory experience and are skilled in coaching and developing both individuals and teams. We believe that you have a relevant degree – such as Engineering or Economy – as well as knowledge of Office 365 and CRM systems. You need fluent skills in both written and verbal English, and knowledge of any other languages used in the sales area are beneficial.

You mix a commercial business mind with strong technical understanding to create trust among both customers and colleagues, and you make sure to execute and follow up on our strategies to achieve results. As a mature and responsive leader, you’re very skilled at empowering others and creating collaborations. You thrive in a cross-cultural environment and easily understand different personalities – and how to interact with them.
