We are looking for a Project Engineer at ABB Oy, Energy Industries division in Vaasa. In this position, you will work with electrical/automation customer projects in an expanding project organization, utilizing ABB's local and global project resources and technology. Your responsibilities

    Organizing and executing design activities across several projects within Power plant applications Ensuring that project engineering activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements Serving as the technical reference for engineering team, suppliers and customers Cooperating with Project Managers and other stakeholders

Your background

    A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical or automation engineering Several years of relevant work experience in protection and control engineering for medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems In-depth experience of CAD tools to design the control schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts A comprehensive understanding of power plant automation hardware design The understanding and ability to correctly interpret customer specifications and single line diagrams in order to select adequate protective relays and know how to design/program the automation functions of protection relays Experience in configuration and implementation of IEC61850, DNP and other relay communication An in-depth understanding of medium-voltage protection functions Knowledge of performing relay coordination studies and basic calculations, such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish or Swedish You are a results-oriented, innovative and collaborative performer Knowledge of power plant automation architectures is beneficial Experience of site and commissioning activities is an advantage Experience of using the engineering tools E3, MicroStation and Opti is beneficial
