Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing, multicultural Product Development team in Espoo. We are masters of the craft in developing Accounting software with a long history of financial and HR data of more than 50.000 companies.

Our team has countless ways for utilising data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the benefit of our customers, and we keep experimenting and validating to focus the efforts on the most valuable solutions. We have also established the a+Lab, an AI/Machine Learning (ML) innovation development unit to boost the utilisation of data and AI related technologies.

What you will be doing

As an Azure Data Engineer in our ML team, you will play an integral role in building data solutions utilising AI, like ML and predictive analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building data pipelines in a collaborative environment. The right candidate has experience of using Azure ML tools. As such, you must be a self-starter, love learning new concepts, and have the ability to innovate.

You will work closely with your project team, including Designers and Data Scientists to ensure project success. Most importantly, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing company at the forefront of an exciting, growing industry!

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to orchestrate the movement, transformation, validation and landing of data from source to destination
• Data pipelines implementation used for ML and analytical solutions
• Building and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure
• Process and implementation of Azure ML tools and platform
• Developing security practices and processes as part of data pipeline implementation

With these strengths you are one step ahead

• Expertise in Azure ML Platform (Python Sklearn pipelines)
• Strong Python and Azure SQL database skills
• Experience in Data analysis and Data mining
• Solid understanding of data processing methodologies, data storage options and data sanitation practices
• Good understanding on software engineering and DevOps processes
• Good understanding of cloud engineering and security practices to handle sensitive data
• Capable of working with Docker, Kubernetes and serverless architecture
• Hands-on experience on maintaining infrastructures in some public cloud services
• Knowledge and experience in Git, Jenkins and Terraform is valued
