Public cloud is a transformational way to deliver computing capacity, but adopting the technology to replace traditional infrastructure is typically the easy part. The hard part is in transforming the organization, processes, applications and data impacted by cloud and related trends from such as digital transformation, DevOps, agile / adaptive organizations, API platforms and microservices. Without these, the tangible business benefits of cloud will be severely limited.

Nordcloud’s Cloud Transformation unit advises and supports customers in this transformation - that we call the Cloud Journey. Now we are looking for a new leader for the unit.

The transformation unit works as our spearhead on three core areas:

1. Cloud Strategy and Operating model. Defining the cloud transformation strategy for our customers as a part of the overall IT, digital and data strategies of our clients as well as planning and supporting its execution.
2. Upskilling and Change. Planning and delivering cloud and agile related training programs for our clients.
3. Cloud Journey Leadership. Leading the transformation from the trenches: ensuring that the journey is planned and executed in the right way on all stages from strategy to migration & modernization to implementing related organizational changes such as a Cloud Center of Excellence.

Your key responsibilities include

• Leading our Cloud Transformation unit and business globally
• Developing our offering for these areas
• Leading and building our global team through the upcoming rapid growth phase from 30 to 100 people globally
• Ensuring quality delivery of services within the unit’s scope
• Supporting Sales and Delivery teams in creating the best solutions for our clients

To be successful in this role we expect you to have

• Proven track record on all aspects of cloud transformation, especially with applying modern ways of working (lean, agile. DevOps), architecture (APIs, microservices, distributed systems) and data (DataOps) at enterprise scale
• Experience in successfully managing and growing a consulting practice
• Proven experience in leading a diverse team spread across multiple countries
• Widely-read and up-to-date awareness of industry trends and technology advancements
• Well-connected, actively networking and respected amongst peers
• Able to align and work both with business and highly technical stakeholders
• A driven and forward-thinking problem solver, with the ability to motivate and drive team enthusiasm at the highest level
• At least 5 years of experience working in a consulting / advisory leadership role
