Load & Haul Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of loaders and trucks for the underground mining industry. We focus on technology and innovation and develop products to enable profitable and sustainable operations for our customers. The Turku site is a key product development and manufacturing center for our load and haul equipment.

Our Product Development organization is currently looking for an active and customer focused Product Support Engineer for Trucks. This is a full-time, permanent position and based in Turku, Finland.

Your mission

Your tasks are related to handling technical feedback mainly from customers, but from other external and internal sources too. You collect facts, co-operate with other teams, make sure that defined process is followed, follow up progress and make decisions to keep operations running as well on production floor as in customer interface. Main contacts outside R&D are product line, sales, sourcing, parts and services as well as our suppliers and other partners. Depending on your background, the different responsibilities (like sketching technical solutions, leading small projects or process development) may also be part of your job description.

Your character

You have a suitable educational background (preferably Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering), 3D CAD knowledge, and experience in design and product development tasks. You have already accumulated evidence of your expertise from your previous career. You are an organized and self-initiated person with a genuine desire to give support and guidance to stakeholders. Knowledge of mobile equipment, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics and control systems, as well as experience in strength calculations and process development are considered as an advantage. Success in the position requires you to have your own initiative and active work approach, good interaction skills, perseverance and fluent oral and written skills in English.
