Load & Haul Division’s Turku plant within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a global technology and manufacturing center for underground loading & hauling equipment for mining industry. Our Resource Office team is now looking for an enthusiastic Project Management and Process Development Specialist to help and guide our R&D persons who are managing projects. Same time our R&D project and portfolio management process need development activities. This is permanent position and based in Turku.

Your role

You have overall responsibilities are managing R&D project portfolio and developing portfolio management process. You take care of supporting R&D persons who are running projects and support them with project management activities and resource management tool. You also take care of Portfolio Management process development and implement new ways of working in the portfolio management area.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Support R&D members to create RTD, MSD, CPE and OBE Project proposals.

• Support R&D project managers to create and update project plans focusing on work breakdown structure and resource planning.

• Managing R&D portfolio in resource point of view.

• Participate in process design and improvement activities.

• Creating new ways of working and help to develop best practices for portfolio management.

• Train and support R&D persons who are working in project managers role.

• Interact and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Scope control & change management in portfolio.

• Managing dependencies and mitigating risks in resource point of view.

• Provide clear portfolio data for decision making process.

Your background

You have suitable education in Engineering or Economics. Long experience in project management and process development are essential to be successful in this job. Experience of resource management and subcontracting is preferred. Your way of working is analytical, systematic, well organized and remains also under pressure. You have good leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Cross-functional experience in a global environment and general business process understanding are required to be successful in this job. As we operate in an international business fluent English is required. The job includes travelling which varies according the time.
