As our business together with IBM is growing at a fast pace, we are looking to grow our Finance department as well and therefore welcoming a new Senior Controller to join our jolly team. The role is rather novel, so we expect you to be keen on building the “new” with us and helping us describe what good looks like!

Your location can be for example Munich, Germany or Helsinki, Finland but other locations where we operate will be taken into consideration as well. You will report to our Group Controller who is located in Finland.

As a person you are curious, open-minded and don’t get shocked too easily - because we’re growing fast and aren’t planning on slowing down anytime soon.

Your daily tasks

• You have a versatile role in the setup and implementation of the appropriate financial controls in order to ensure compliance with accepted accounting processes and legal requirements.
• You’ll be involved in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, internal regulation, and financial reporting and development.
• You have an important role in developing and managing the entire management reporting process of the company.
• Your responsibilities include validating all management controls and procedures within the business. You are ensuring the adequate maintenance of proper policies and procedures in the areas of finance and accounting, in order to maintain suitable internal controls that lead to complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting, analysis and commentary.
• You support the business in forecasting and reviewing current and projected financial position of the business, hence ensuring integrity of information.
• Your role is very collaborative which means that you will work hand-in-hand (and hands-on) together with your colleagues in Finance, our CIO and of course the business.

To be a successful Senior Controller, you should have

• relevant educational background, e.g. Master’s degree in Finance
• at least 7 years of experience from a similar position in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, possibly both in financial controlling and business controlling functions
• fluent spoken and written English - Finnish and/or German is considered an asset
• ability to work independently with drive & self-motivation
• resilience and tolerance for uncertainty
• great communication skills and openness to new ideas
• "Hold my beer - I got this" attitude
