Job Description

We are committed to providing clinicians, and their patients, with comprehensive and high-quality tools and resources for diagnostics of genetic conditions. As a purchasing coordinator you will have a pivotal role in this quest.

In this position, your main responsibility is to liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure resolution of customer needs. Your will respond to client inquiries in a timely manner, support in purchase order confirmations and take care of supply fulfillment. You will collaborate with both external partners and internal teams to manage the logistics of our products. You will manage a variety of ongoing initiatives that require proactive communication and process management skills. As a purchasing coordinator at Blueprint Genetics you will have the opportunity to learn more about vendor management, lab kit fulfilment and genetic testing. Your main tasks will include:

  • Coordinating and managing logistics in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
  • Managing the service portal and the status of purchase orders
  • Communicating  and escalating price discrepancies on purchase order confirmations
  • Liaising with clients regarding the delivery of their order and helping resolve any issues that may arise
  • Preparing daily reporting to support special purchase order requests, including Capex and service orders 
  • Working on special or ad hoc projects to support the team, as needed
  • Managing and supporting the Return to Vendor process
  • Collaborating with Client Services, Billing, Finance, and other teams, as required
  • Managing, measuring, and reporting client feedback to help improve our services
  • Maintaining process documentation and compliance to departmental process and policies  

Qualifications:

You communicate and collaborate effortlessly and professionally with both external partners and our internal teams. You are highly organized and have excellent process management skills. Furthermore, you are a team player with the ability to work proactively yet independently across teams. 

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • A high school diploma with business related field experience. A Bachelor’s degree in business related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience from customer service and procurement position
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Systems and Materials Management processes, in business or related field
  • Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of laboratory products is considered an advantage
  • Customer service mindset and excellent communication skills
