The faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine conducts research in biochemistry and molecular medicine and trains biochemists (MSc), as well as researchers in both biochemists (PhD) and medical students (MD PhD). In research and education, it is becoming increasingly important to learn how to process and utilize ever-expanding data using bioinformatics and data analytics methods. A university teacher is needed to support the researchers providing teaching in the context of work-based education in bioinformatics and data analytics in the faculty.

We are looking for a university teacher for a fixed-term employment period from 1 September 2021 to 31 March 2023.

The primary task of a university teacher is planning and implementation of the education together with the researchers providing the training. The courses and other teaching included in the education are carried out by the faculty researchers. In the job description, it is also possible to participate in the organized education or to participate in other teaching and research related work of the faculty.

Success in the position requires an appropriate university degree (MSc or PhD), organizational skills in coordinating the education, the ability to produce and process teaching materials, good English language skills, and interaction and collaboration skills in an international work environment. Other knowledge of the bio field and / or the subject of education, experience in teaching and / or research and experience in planning teaching can be considered an advantage. Education will be in English.

The task is fixed-term and may be initiated no earlier than 1.9.2021. Remuneration for the position is according to level 4-5 of the teaching and research staff's task-specific demand level. In addition, a salary component based on personal performance is paid, up to a maximum of 50% of the task-specific salary component. Typically, the salary could be between about 2900 and 3600 euros / month at the beginning of the employment relationship.
