Elisa Data & Analytics department is responsible for development of large-scale analytics to various Elisa’s business needs. We value insights from data, are focused on learning how to support our customers better and want to enhance experiences in our customers’ everyday life.

We’re looking for a Data Scientist for our Production data science team to solve data-oriented challenges related to designing, building and maintaining Elisa’s telecom- and IT-networks.

Your main tasks would include utilizing data and mathematical modelling to help save costs and improve customer experience in both domain-specific and Elisa wide projects. This requires skills in networking and communication with subject matter experts, and solid technical hands-on experience with databases and modelling techniques.

What you’ll do

• Take initiative and work together with subject matter experts across Elisa
• Lead and participate in projects where mathematical methodologies such as statistical analysis, machine learning and optimization are applied to real-life problems
• Develop solutions using technologies like Python, R, Apache Spark and SQL
• Being part of developing analytics culture and ways of working in the team and Elisa as a whole

We hope that you have

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years of work experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, optimization, stochastics, or programming
• Ability to work independently, willing to co-operate with subject matter experts, and good communication skills in English (Finnish is a plus)
• We appreciate proven ability to deliver results in the form of software or industrial work experience from areas relevant to Elisa
