The Parts & Services Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions has a unique opportunity for a Category Manager – Lifecycle Support, to develop maintenance and repair strategies through the practice of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM2) principles.

Your mission – to develop and maintain equipment maintenance plans, maintenance strategies and indicative operating cost models for new and existing fleet of Sandvik equipment.

In this position, you are responsible for the creation of equipment maintenance strategies (NPD and CPE) which lead to equipment lifecycle cost models. You provide accurate maintenance parts lists to the documentation parts writer to reflect “the right maintenance parts” in parts manuals. You work closely with Sales Areas to collect and analyze information on the equipment reliability of parts and components, and you update relevant equipment models to reflect component/parts “real operating results” in field.

You have proven system’s and remote support experience. You interact closely with key Sales Area stakeholders including EHS, Competence Development, Workshop Managers, Field Service teams and Commercial Portfolio teams.

As Category Manager – Lifecycle Support, you report to the Assets Lifecycle Support Manager, Service Operations and international travel is a natural part of your job. The position will be in Tampere or Turku, Finland, or Alachua in the USA.

Your character – An experienced Aftermarket Operations professional with extensive knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair

We are looking for someone with a University degree in Mechanical or Applications Engineering. You have at least 5 years’ experience in reliability engineering, root cause analysis and equipment lifecycle modelling and you have a working knowledge of analysis tools such as Fault Tree and Weibull. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
