Traditional Industries are being disrupted! Who is going to be the next Spotify, Revolut or Uber? Perhaps more importantly, which Cloud Platform Provider will they choose to herald next phase of Industry Digitisation? The answer is Oracle!

In response, we are building a dedicated team of technical subject matter experts with experience in key High Potential (HiPo) Industries – e.g. FinTech, Media Streaming, Gaming and the Convenience Economy - combining deep Technical acumen and application development experience (in one or more of the aforementioned HiPo industry sectors) to win the next generation of Digital Disruptors.

We are a team focused on helping our customers to rapidly gain value from the Oracle Cloud. Mist of our customers in the Hyper-growth industry segments will have deployed their applications (e.g. Financial Payment, Media Streaming Services etc..) leveraging AWS, Google or Azure Cloud Platforms. Our team will carefully assess, plan, architect, prototype and manage cloud migrations from these competitor platforms to help accelerate time to value.

Job Description

We are looking for creative, pioneering, ambitious software and technology professionals who live and breathe Cloud engineering, specifically in the Fintech, Media Streaming, Gaming & Mobility sectors. You have a passion to solve challenging business problems and want to embrace new ideas, and you love to be in rapid changing dynamic technology space of the cloud.

As part of this new HiPo mission, Oracle is looking for top AWS, Google or Azure engineers to quickly migrate eligible customer application workloads to Oracle Cloud, enabling customers to derive value from our next generation cloud services. This is an exciting opportunity for Cloud Engineers with excellent customer facing skills, coupled with Cloud Application development and delivery (DEVOPS) experience. We are looking for positive and structured individuals who thrive working in a dynamic environment and relish the opportunity to position Oracle Cloud at both a business and technical level as part of a smart, ‘Pursuit’ focused team.

As a Technical SME for a specific Industry segment, you will

• Assess and fully understand the customers’ desired business outcomes
• Assess and identify the principal technical rationale for migrating applications from a competitor cloud platform (e.g. Google, Azure, AWS)
• Ensure that the proposed solution is technically viable / can be migrated from the competitor Cloud ecosystem
• Working in partnership with experienced Oracle Cloud Engineers, contribute to the target (Oracle Cloud) architecture ensuring stability, extendibility, and scalability
• Provide implementation advisory and technical input into the sales cycle
• Be seen as the senior implementation expert for projects and advisor to the customer and Oracle workload migration teams
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders providing high level solution updates at both a business and technical level.
• Ensure that consistent approach and governance is adhered to within all customer engagements
• Be a go to trusted implementation advisor for customers and will be responsible for maintaining relationships
• Advise on candidate use cases for significant impact and suggest associated reusable solution assets

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in designing, building & delivering ISV solutions/specialist applications using cloud technologies (Oracle, AWS, Google, Azure) 
• You will have extensive knowledge of developing applications in one of the following industries – Financial Services (Fintech), Media Streaming, Gaming, Gambling or Mobility
• You have experience acting as a Technical/Workload/Solution Architect/Technical SME or similar with cloud solution design, development and delivery, functional and/or technical consulting, business consulting.  Prior team leadership or management experience is preferred but not essential.
• You are an expert in industry standard architectural blueprints / design frameworks in your respective domain and have a practical experience of producing end-to-end technology architecture and reusable solution assets, which can be used across multiple industries and sectors.
• Can demonstrate how you would transfer your knowledge of competitor Cloud ecosystems to designing and developing Oracle cloud solutions 
• You can provide functional and technology thought leadership in Cloud Applications and/or Cloud Middleware and/or Cloud Infrastructure, Database,  Information Security, system integration and solution development promoting best practice approaches to solution development.
• You have strong verbal and written communications skills. Preferably experience writing and publishing research briefs, white papers and blogs, vlogs. 
• You are educated to an undergraduate degree or greater level. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• You will be primarily required to deliver services remotely from your home and, while there may be some visits to an office or customer premises, we believe that these will be relatively rare for the foreseeable future. As nearly all your daily interactions will be on video conference, you will need a good internet connection. You have the opportunity to manage your own time and work hours can have a degree of flexibility.
