What you will be doing

We are looking for a Team lead for our business applications and processes team. You will have an important role leading the team to ensure our tools, technologies and processes support our business in a best possible way by developing them and making sure everything is smoothly up and running. Taking care of your teams’ motivation, wellbeing and professional development is also a crucial part of the role.

Target is to expand the scope from mostly Accountor Finago specific operations to Accountor SME (financial management software for small and medium sized companies) cluster wide processes and solutions with business processes first approach (opposite to technology first approach).

Success is measured by how well you have been able to build relationship with business stakeholders, prove them how common ways of working add value to businesses – and of course lead the team to perform and deliver improvements in processes and technologies proactively for businesses to benefit from.

You and your team are part of Business Operations function focusing on supporting business units and financial management companies across the Accountor SME cluster. In practice this means not only Accountor Finago, but also Isolta, Ecom, eTasku and Apix as companies and scope is related to support functions such as sales, marketing, customer service, finance etc.

With these strengths you are one step ahead

As team lead your most valuable tool is the specialists in your team. Thus, it is important that you have experience and proven record of leading a team in complex environment. This also means
  • capabilities to coach team members to develop their professional expertise
  • shifting mindsets and ways of working towards more process-oriented approach for both your as well as other stakeholders around.
Stakeholders of these business processes are within different SME cluster companies with different business emphasis. To really perform, you need
  • capability to understand different kinds of software businesses and their business logic to add value and find synergies across with systematic approach
  • build trust and strong network with stakeholders and capability to tell the story from their perspective
In overall substance, there are a few practical things you should have knowledge and previous experience of
  • how process improvements and projects related are pulled through with systematic approach while adding maturity to development and maintenance processes as well
  • strong knowhow of business supporting processes and tools and how to develop those from business needs
  • you understand that from process and technology viewpoint clarity and consolidation is important, however this is not your main argument when “selling” this to business
 
You will benefit from having experience with these as well  

As strong goal is adding maturity to processes and ways of working, you might have deep knowledge of CMMI, Lean or ISO based process models and experience to really implement these in the ways of working for benefit of the business.

You team is working with different technologies so understanding technologies in general is vital for success. You don’t need to be the expert but knowing even some of these technologies gives you a head start. Technologies consists of
  • main focus on Microsoft family (D365, Azure, BI, Sharepoint, Teams, Windows..),
  • some Google suite and AWS tools,
  • tools specialized for different focus areas such as Hubspot, Zendesk, Intercom etc. 
Following the budget for development projects in your area as well as cost of tools and technologies used will be on your responsibility, so previous experience on budgeting and cost management will help you to get started.
