DC STH Material Management plans, organises and develops the material flows from suppliers to production and external customers, including inbound, in-house and outbound logistics and transportation. As an On-call Trainee you will be working on process and system development as a goal to optimise end-to-end material flow.  

This position is located in Vaasa, Finland, and it offers an excellent opportunity for a student who would like to work 0-25 hours per week alongside studies during the spring.

What our team does:

  • Process and system development (SAP ECC, EWM) related to Material Management processes
  • Warehouse automation-related development (eg AGV, mini load)
  • Process automation with RPA
  • Development utilising computer vision and artificial intelligence
  • KPIs and reports with PowerBI
  • Problem-solving and end-user support
  • Material master data analysis and maintenance
  • Work instructions and process flowcharts

To be successful in this role, you have: 

  • On-going studies in a relevant field (B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Economics or equivalent)  
  • Interest towards material flows, logistics and development
  • Strong communication skills and working fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken  
  • Good team work and problem-solving skills  
  • Systematic and active approach to working
  • Earlier experience in SAP, logistics or programming is seen as an advantage
