Digital Operations is a department within Elisa’s Software Services unit, which is leading the development and implementation of various critical enablers of digitalization to further advance Elisa’s journey to be the most advanced telecommunications operator in the world. We develop automation through software engineering, follow and implement agile methods, improve daily practices and strive for overall operational excellence in whatever we do to help all activities across the wide variety available at Elisa.

We are a now looking for a Service Manager with a passion to drive service development and lead and coach our agile development team. The Digital Identity team develops and operates solutions for managing customer authentication, digital identities, and customer data, which are key enablers of secure, automated, and personalized digital services and business processes in Elisa. The team also supports the consistency, usability and accessibility of Elisa’s online presence and digital services through the development and operation of Elisa’s Design System.

In this role you will learn to wear many hats. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure proper resourcing for the area to move forward as planned (as a Service Manager)
  • To own the technical environment, have an understanding of its current potential and future development needs and maintain a roadmap (as a Product Manager)
  • To manage and lead our growing Digital Identity and Design System team (as a Line Manager)
  • To collaborate with business and other stakeholders to really understand the key strategic focus areas and lead the team efforts accordingly (as a BizOps Lead)
  • To make sure agile methods and software development practices are constantly improving (as an Agile Coach)

We hope you can bring to the table:

  • Overall understanding of and interest in matters of digital identity including some of the following: Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, person data mastering/core data, Digital Omni-Channel orchestration capabilities
  • Strong interest in developing capabilities which will enable digitalization of customer engagement (sales, customer service, etc.)
  • Proven skills in bridging the gaps between business needs and technical solutions
  • Experience in technical product management
  • Experience in people management
  • Several years of relevant experience in software development and agile methodologies
  • Proven skills in coaching and developing an agile software team
  • University degree in engineering or computer science
  • Superb skills in English (our working language)
  • Enthusiastic and active attitude to push Elisa as a company to the next level

  • Good communication skills and an ability to talk technology, design or business with ease when needed
  • Understanding of service development as a whole

  • Understanding of Finnish language
