Terveystalo is looking for a Development Manager to join the Sofware & Services unit.

In the role you will take ownership of leading and developing Terveystalo’s new Software Development Center in Jyväskylä. We are also expecting you to be able to participate into daily development work in your preferred role. We hope you have gained solid work experience with recruiting and leading skilled software development professionals.

In this role you will:

• Be working in meaningful and responsible position within the leading healthcare provider in Finland where organizational culture acknowledges digitalization and building lasting IT-solutions as a crucial part of the strategy
• Have the HR responsibility of defined unit.
• Plan and execute the recruitments.
• Act as a coach/mentor/enabler for all (including junior programs).
• Lead the cooperation with selected 3rd parties inc. academic cooperation, vendors, and partners.
• Help product teams with technology and development related matters.
• Provide guidance to team to encourage work productivity.
• Ensure appropriate procedures and processes are followed.
• Represent the software department in meetings.
• Analyze new software requirements and participates to the technical planning sessions.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• A proven track record in leading software development professionals successfully.
• Experience about recruiting software development professionals.
• Knowledge about modern processes and procedures of software development.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Capability to keep up to date with the latest technology.
• Capability to take care of other software development roles like software architect, scrum master, technical product manager etc if needed.
• Understanding and possibly previous experience in DevOps practices and tools
• Readiness to take broad responsibility and ownership
• Great collaboration skills and willingness to guide and support other people
• Fluent Finnish or English language skills

We see as an additional asset:
• Knowledge and experience in cloud environments
• Previous experience from other software development positions
• Finnish language skills
• Understanding and experience in agile software development
