UPM is looking for Product Development Manager to join our Facestock development team for a permanent position located in Tampere, Finland.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and develop F&S special paper components and portfolio

  • Lead and facilitate development projects

  • Act as a technical expert for F&S special paper facestock

  • Be the main technical contact towards suppliers

  • Support sourcing in supplier management and development

  • Provide technical support for production, sales and business organizations

  • Collect and follow-up of technology developments, technical trends for labelling facestock

  • Develop partnership with key industrial stakeholders

Who you are

  • You have M.Sc. or B.Sc. in material technology, preferably in paper manufacturing and converting

  • You have experience or knowledge about pressure sensitive labelling, papers used in labelling, paper manufacturing, converting, printing and packaging

  • You have project management experience and use of statistical methods

  • You are strong team player and able to work with own initiative

  • You have good communication skills and you are able to build networks in and outside UPM

  • You have analytical and problem-solving mindset, and you are eager to learn new things

  • You are fluent in English, other languages are seen as asset
