We are now looking for a Manager for the Solution Development and Support for the SAP ERP and related Sourcing and Procurement IT capabilities. This an opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to take on a leading role in the Wärtsilä ERP ecosystem and support us through our journey to SAP S/4HANA. In this role you will be leading a team of solution domain professionals to enhance the value of the IT delivery and development of the own solution domain.

Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland

Responsibilities and focus areas:

  • Inspire, influence and guide your team to participate in the common delivery of Global ERP CoE
  • Responsible for operations, support and development of Wärtsilä global SAP ERP solutions and integrated 3rd party applications for the own solution domain
  • Responsible for relationship, demand and service management of services within own solution domain
  • Enable continuous service improvement through effective use of metrics and key performance indicators within own solution domain
  • Improve the performance of the demand to release process of enhancements within the own solution domain
  • Participate in the development and implementation performance indicators and related reporting for ERP services (emphasis post go live of SAP S/4HANA)
  • Participate in the development of fit for purpose decision making bodies such as development forums, change advisory boards and/or continuous development teams are in place to prioritise development demand and enforce effective collaboration with business
  • Ensure transparency (and related reporting) in the SAP enhancement request and incident management process for the own solution domain
  • Ensure team readiness and competence development for the SAP S/4HANA transformation
  • Ensure an up-to-date service catalogue as-is and plan service catalogue changes to reflect the SAP S/4HANA transformation for the own solution domain
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities in the internal and external teams in the development and support process and ensure communication of the same 
  • Adopting DevOps and agile tools and methodology to SAP development process


Success measures:

  • Successful service delivery measured by stakeholder satisfaction and defined measurements
  • Team readiness for SAP S/4HANA transformation


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT leadership with a proved track record incl. 
  • 3+ years of existing SAP ERP experience, either as platform or service owner or as program manager
  • Proven track record of running and developing major IT platforms 
  • Understanding of modern SAP ERP capabilities, modules and global process development around ERP 
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration and teamworking skills
  • Being able to handle multiple activities simultaneously, achieve results, decisiveness and action orientation
  • Ability to adjust to continuous changes in business environment, tolerate risk and make mitigation scenarios 
  • Experience is DevOps & agile methodology, requirement management and service design
  • M.Sc degree in IT, engineering or business preferred 
  • Fluent written and spoken English
