Our mission is to identify and understand business needs to deliver suitable and cost-efficient IT solutions that add value to Sandvik's business. Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions’ (SMR) IT Countries is now looking for a Site IT Manager for Turku. The position is permanent and located in Turku.

Your role

In this role, you will ensure that the local IT services meets agreed business requirements and needs, is available and reliable as planned, is supported in agreed level and complies with SMR IT architecture and security. Within SMR IT team, you are a key stakeholder to build, implement & support the production related processes. You will focus mainly on the Site IT and production processes within our site in Turku, and work on SMR IT projects.

Your other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for local IT Project management and coordination

  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with Sandvik business stakeholders

  • Proactively advise on IT solutions aligned with specific business requirements

  • Ensure alignment between Sandvik’s Global and Business Area’s IT standards and strategies with Finland business requirements

  • Define and ensure successful execution of IT services

  • Communication of the Sandvik Group and Business Area’s IT strategy to the local business leadership

  • Ensuring IT compliance and IT security including the local implantation of Sandvik Group standards

  • Manage IT budget and participate in major business change initiatives

Your background

You have a Master’s degree in IT and experience of the IT service delivery in demanding production environment. You have excellent leadership skills and your way of working is active, self-driven and systematic and you can establish strong professional relationships with relevant stakeholders. You communicate fluently both in English and in Finnish.
