WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

This role is for a motivated, and communicative individual who can take ownership. You will be working in an agile development environment. You already have some practical experience and you are prepared to pro­actively develop your skills in a highly dynamic and rewarding environment. As a Cloud Security Engineer at Zervant your main role is to maintain and improve our cloud and application security and also work on our overall security. You will also further develop our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the development team helping them to identify potential security issues and develop a secure codebase. You will also organise audits and security processes and drive that potential issues get fixed.

Our teams take on whole projects, and work on them all the way from start to finish. So, you can expect to take on whatever is needed to get the job done. Challenging? Yes. Rewarding? Absolutely.    

WHAT WE EXPECT 

Given that you’ll have a diverse, hands on role, you’ll need a broad skill set to match. You have a genuine interest in security. You already know how AWS works, and are willing to learn CI/CD, Docker, Terraform and Linux. Added to security and infra skills we value interest in, and eagerness to learn, web application security. Some programming skills are also needed, maybe in some of the following technologies: Java, Clojure, Typescript, Node and React. If you’ve got any projects on Github that show your experience then send ‘em over!

Our working language is English, so you’ll need to be fluent in written and spoken form.  We’re after someone with a genuine passion and interest in software quality and design.Someone with a curious mindset and a willingness to dig deep and identify the root cause of problems.
