Energy Business - Construction and Commissioning Services is now looking for a home-based Section Manager, Electrical.

Your main responsibility is to plan, lead and manage electrical construction activities and team at site. This position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. Work is mostly done at site assignments abroad, home office location is either in Turku, Vaasa or Helsinki, Finland.

This position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment, working on new build power plant commissioning works. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. This position will therefore see you travelling abroad, around the world, approx. 250 days a year.

 Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the electrical works at site in collaboration with other stakeholders 
- Plan and follow-up progress of electrical works at site 
- Proactively manage the scope of works, material flow and secure needed resources
- Manage subcontractors 

- Ensure quality and cost efficiency of electrical installations

- Prepare, arrange and document weekly electrical site meetings according to need

- Manage and maintain good reporting practices 
- Perform start-ups and testing of the installed equipment and document the end results 
- Maintain good customer relations and team spirit at site 
- Co-ordinate construction works with mechanical and civil sections 

- Drive continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problem-solving knowledge to enable   other organizations to effectively resolve customer problems and inquiries
- Safeguard the compliance with HSSE policies and minimize the risks in own section 

- Ensure that safe commissioning practices are followed

- Ensure safe and reliable function of the plant and equipment

 To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

- B.Sc or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering 

- Familiar with relevant codes and standards

- Understanding of utility generation construction, and commissioning practices.
- Working experience in similar tasks preferred 
- Good leadership, communication, team building and negotiation skills 
- Willingness to learn and adapt new technologies 

- Willingness to travel
- Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments 
- Project Management knowledge is an advantage 
- Good command of English, both oral and written 
- Other languages are seen as an advantage 

Please note that relocation costs and/or immigration support in moving to Finland is not available for this position.
