We are looking for a Superintendent Engineer (mechanical) or Senior Service Engineer to strengthen our Marine Power, Global Field Services Resources Team. The successful candidate will be based in Turku, Finland, and will have the opportunity to travel globally (up to 150-200 days a year).

What will you be doing?

As a Superintendent Engineer (mechanical) / Senior Service Engineer your work will focus on:
•    Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Wärtsilä sold engines and equipment for marine installations
•    Troubleshooting by identifying failures, attending (sea) trial runs and testing of installations according to instructions and expected performance requirements
•    Performing and leading maintenance jobs, major overhauls / on-site repairs and upgrades on marine and land-based installations with Wärtsilä engines and equipment 
•    Provide good quality service work reports and travel expense reports on time according to Wärtsilä standards
•    Participate with improvement of new products when performing warranty activities 
•    Co-operation and development mechanical systems with partners
•    Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers 

The below will enable you to shine in this role:
•    B.Sc. or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar experience gained through work  
•    Proven ability to create internal and external work reports
•    Demonstrable technical problem-solving skills
•    Team player who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
•    Excellent communication skills, effectively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
•    Positive attitude and pro-active thinking
•    Pro-active and independent, taking responsibility for your actions
•    Self-driven and acts efficiently under pressure
•    Desire to learn, adapt and develop yourself
•    Willingness and flexibility to travel globally, anytime (up to 150-200 days a year)
•    Earlier experience with Wärtsilä engines and equipment is seen as advantage
•    Fluency in English, both written and verbal
