If you are a development oriented professional with great collaboration skills you might be the right person to join our Rock Drills team. We are now looking for a proactive and service oriented Field Test Engineer to take over an important role in a Rock Drill development. This is a permanent position and based in Tampere, Finland.

Your mission

You are part of the Rock Drills team, where your mission is to work with the other Product Line Rock Drills team members. You plan, organize and execute component, system and prototype functional and validation tests for the drilling products at our customers’ sites. In order to ensure successful field tests you participate in factory testing at our own Testmine. You act as a link between factory and sales areas, handle testing feedback and report periodically status of the field test to the team. You will also participate in customer and Sandvik’s sales area organization trainings and in root cause analyses. You will work in close collaboration with all internal stakeholders related to rock drilling. You will report to the Product Line Manager, Rock Drills.

Your background

You have a suitable technical background and you have worked in the field of movable working machines. You have practical knowledge in hydraulics, electrics, systems and components. Knowledge of control or automation systems and work experience from mines are great benefits for you. You are a practical, hands on doer and your way of working is organized, independent and proactive. You are a team player with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills. You are proficient user in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). You have fluent communication skills in Finnish and in English. The job requires periodically a fair amount of travelling. You act as a role model in safety related matters and set an example by promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
